We are excited to announce the 10 selected SMEs of our HealthChain Open Call for SMEs. The call aimed to support SMEs that are advancing digital healthcare solutions for prevention, prediction, and remote care. This call attracted 34 applications from innovative SMEs across Europe, each with unique approaches to tackling healthcare challenges and improving patient outcomes.
The open call focuses on co-creation, pilot deployment, business support, and scale-up, enabling SMEs and healthcare organizations (HOs) to collaborate closely. SMEs will co-create tailored solutions with HOs to address specific needs, test high-TRL solutions in real healthcare settings, and receive funding and business support to scale their innovations. This provides IT companies a chance to validate their products, gain customer references, and access funding with ease. For HOs, the call offers a “test before invest” approach, support by ecosystem partners and interregional knowledge-sharing to address healthcare challenges effectively.
The proposals went thrhough a joint evaluation process, involving a committee comprising representatives from the Healthcare Organization, the Ecosystem Supporter, and the SME leading the co-creation.
